THE WAUPACA POST Thursday, June 13, 1901 Opened For The Season The
informal opening of the Grand View hotel, Chain o’ Lakes, occurred on Sunday
last, luncheon being served at noon and dinner at 6 o’clock. Quite a number of people who came on the excursion
took lunch at the Grand View, and about sixty of the town people went out for
dinner. A nice meal was served and
everyone was much pleased. A number
of guests from the south are expected next week. On
Saturday evening, this week, the Grand View Hotel will tender to the people of
Waupaca and vicinity, a complimentary dancing party at Amusement hall. Allen’s orchestra will furnish the music,
and dancing will stop promptly at midnight. Electric cars will leave the corner
of Main and Fulton streets on the hour until eleven o’clock, and the last car
will leave the Grand View at the close of the party. As the entertainment is strictly a complimentary affair, it is
hoped our citizens will show their good will by being present. |
