THE WAUPACA REPUBLICAN October 19, 1906 WAUPACA FELTING MILLS Such is the name under which the transformed Waupaca Woolen Mills formerly owned by J. W. Evans, were incorporated in the office of the Secretary of State at Madison on Monday. The Capital stock has been placed at $50,000 and the incorporators are Isaiah Boors and Chas. A Graff of Milwaukee and William A. Proctor, of Waupaca. The concern is doing a good business in making felt hats to be used by whole-sale houses for millinery and it is said eventually the plant will be enlarged, the demand already exceeding their capacity. The new plant has been in operation about two months. While we were sorry to see the famous woolen mill pass out perhaps the change may have a tendency of bringing newcomers and enterprises here. |
