There have been a number of Indians around the city the past week, begging. There ought to be some way to stop that nuisance. Uncle Sam provides a home for them on the reservation, and that is the place for them. About every Indian or squaw has a card on which is written a lot of trash about the bearer being a good Indian, and a relative of some government scout, and that he ought to be helped on that account. If any Indian was a government scout he got good government dollars for his services, and hs relatives are entitled to no aid on his account.
