STEVENS POINT GOING AHEAD – The Pinery of the 9th inst. Says: "We are certainly on the high road to becoming a city; the evidence of which is that rogues and thieves are finding us out, and adding to our importance by exhibitions of their professional character in our midst." Then follows an account of the arrest of two criminals, one for forgery, the other for stealing shingles.

WAUPACA COUNTY. – The Waupaca Spirit estimates the present population of that county at seven thousand, and predicts that in another year it will amount to ten thousand.
