HAT FACTORY CORNER DANGEROUS

Damage Done Last Spring Has Been Remedied

Work has been progressing on the Hat factory dam for some time, and to all appearances the dam is completed, although the water has not been shut off, and the mill pond is overgrown with weeds with the exception of a narrow channel.

The Hat Factory is being reboarded on the side next to the road and this improves the appearance of the street.

The dangerous turn just south of the bridge is at present more likely to cause accidents than formerly, for great quantities of old timbers taken from the old dam line the road on the west.  This pile also detracts greatly from the appearance of the street, and some attempt should be made soon to remove the old timbers and waste materials.
