POLITICS IN WAUPACCA COUNTY.
Republicanism appears to be caving in up in Waupacca County. The Register – heretofore the only straight-out Republican organ in that county, has hauled down the Republican ticket, and hoisted in its place the standard of the Democracy. In a candid and able article, the editor reviews the last four years of Republican misrule in Wisconsin, and winds up with the following declaration:
"If this is Republican reform, then we are for some other reform; as the boarder said, ‘if this is tea, give me coffee – if this is coffee, give me tea – we want a change at all events.’
We should not be surprised if Waupacca County gave a handsome majority for Hobart, and the rest of the democratic ticket.
