From Scott Turner, January 16, 2001

The Waupaca Publishing Company, Inc., can trace its roots in the Waupaca business community to the late 1850s where the first newspaper appeared in the Waupaca area.  Since that time a number of newspapers have been published in the city of Waupaca with the weekly Waupaca County Post currently being the only city newspaper.

In addition to the County Post, the Waupaca Publishing Company publishes four other newspapers and two magazines as well as doing contract web printing at out Waupaca facility.  The company currently employs 50 full-time and about 25 part-time people.
