ACCIDENT AT FREMONT
From our regular Correspondent
FREMONT, May 27th.
Last Thursday a serious, if not fatal accident happened in this town a short distance from our village. While a man by the name of R. Campbell was at work burning off a piece of land he was clearing, a stub fell, striking him on the right shoulder, crushing the bone and knocking him flat in the fire. He was shockingly burned. His left arm and hand in places cooked, his face and neck injured, and other parts of his body scorched. His clothes were nearly all burned off
Dr. Eddy thinks he will recover, unless the injury over his bowels should prove fatal. J.W.
