THE WAUPACA POST January 31, 1889 Dr. Asadoorian has at his office over Poppe’s drug store, a couple of rich and expensive Turkish rugs, one of them having been in his family since he was a child. He also has several pieces of Turkish embroideries, made by Turkish ladies of the harem, and sold by them for “pin money”. These are genuine curiosities to most of our people and the doctor takes pleasure in showing them to all who care to see. He is an interesting conversationalist and his descriptions of Turkish and Armenian customs as he describes the curiosities are worth taking the time and trouble to hear. |
