WAUPACA REPUBLICAN April 25, 1890 John DeMeaun and Dick Dunn on Sunday night started out on a little town painting expedition, and after a time DeMeaun brought up at Frank Felli’s house and took possession without leave or license and proceeded to put Dunn into Mr. Felli’s bed. When Felli came home he was chagrined to find his bed occupied by another fell-ah and it did not take him long to jerk said Dunn out. But Dunn skipped over to chief-of-police Larson’s barn and contented himself with a hay mow bed, where he was found by Mr. Larson in the morning. Mr. Felli went over and wanted Dunn arrested but a compromise was finally effected for a “V” for damages to the bed. Monday DeMaun was arrested for the little part he occupied in the game, that of using abusive and obscene language to Felli and Justice Chesley fined him five dollars and costs.
