Wayne Guyant receives plaque.

 

            Wayne Guyant, N3062 Otter Drive, Waupaca, was  presented with a plaque by the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association recently, in appreciation for his years of dedicated service to the state’s potato and vegetable industry.

            Guyant spent 30 years with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, 25 years as a certified seed potato inspector and fresh market shipping point inspector and nine years as a quality control inspector representing the process potato growers of Wisconsin.

            Now retired, Guyant and his wife, Alta, are genealogy enthusiasts and Guyant writes the Waupaca County Post column, “When Then Was Now.”
