THE REPUBLICAN September 1, 1905 “Ho Sing” has sold or transferred his interest in the Chinese Laundry to “Ho Mon” and gone to Oshkosh. He got “loony” under his queue and had spells of abusing his best friends and neighbors and insulting his customers. Justice Scott gave him the alternative of paying $100 fine or shake the dust from Waupaca so he “sheok” or rather transferred his business to Ho Mon. The new Chinaman is a young fellow and appears like a perfect gentleman. He has no use for a queue and also parts his hair slightly to one side. He has been in Stevens Point about three years. That he is up-to-date we note that he ordered an ad in the paper at once to let the people know that he is in business here.
