DEATH OF DAVID HOLMES

 

            On Monday David Holmes, who lives on Lake Street, died suddenly of heart failure.

            Deceased was a native of England and came to Waupaca from Appleton some thirty years ago.  He was employed for a number of years in the Waupaca woolen mill, his position being a spinner.  He was policeman and night watch in the city for several years and was a very efficient officer.  His health has not been very good for two years.  He leaves to mourn, his wife, two sons, John and Will, and one daughter, Agnes.  He was a kind and affectionate husband and a father and a good citizen.

            The funeral was held from St. Mary’s church Friday morning, Rev. Father Mortell conducting the services according to the rites of the Catholic church.
