TAKES FIRST PLACE In
National Potato Show Held in Michigan The state of Wisconsin won first place in the National Potato show held at Grand Rapids, Michigan. All the great potato states of the union were represented and Wisconsin walked away with the honors. Chas. Kyes, of Lincoln county, won fourth prize on his Green Mountains in competition with potato growers from all over the United States. The potatoes entered by Mr. Kyes were originally intended only to be shown at the state show, but it was decided to send some Wisconsin goods to the national show and his were among the lot. |
