Will Take in All Principal Towns Between These Points 

City Now Boasts of Two Auto Roads

May Get Another Branch later

Route Is New Project

 

      A new auto route, which is called the “Yellow Cross Route” and is marked with a yellow “X” is the newest thing for this city. The route starts at Three Lakes and runs through Antigo, Bernhamwood, Elderon and about two miles from Rosholt, Iola, Scandinavia, Waupaca, Lind Center, Poy Sippi, Auroraville, Berlin, Ripon, Waupun, Juneau and Milwaukee.  Another branch of the road is now under consideration and an extension is almost certain.  This gives Waupaca two automobile roads, both of which were started in this section only this year.  Many merchants have stated, in the last few days, that the tourists have increased in number at an unexpected rate, since the Yellowstone Trail went through this city.  In addition to this it also helps the good road movement, which benefits everyone.  The farmers want good roads to drive upon as do also the town people, so the idea that the tourists get all the good from these roads is a mistaken one.

            The “Trail Day”, which has been talked of so much in this town, has not ye been decided upon as yet, but just as soon as it can be learned definitely what work is going to be done, a trail day will be set.
