BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING

 

            The regular session of the Board of Education was held Thursday night, Jan 2.  President Shoemaker, presiding.

            Committee on teachers and grading of schools recommended that Miss Martha Rhoebeck be elected to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Miss Hole as teacher of sixth grade, at a salary of $50 per month, and Catherine Clements be elected to vacancy, caused b the resignation of Miss Chamberlain as teacher of music and drawing, at $55 per month.  Carried.

            Moved and carried that the secretary be instructed to draw orders for Mrs. Showalter at same salary as paid Miss Hole, as long as she may teach.  Adopted.
