BUSINESS COLLEGE ORGANIZED

Stockholders of the Waupaca Business College and Academy held their first meeting on Monday evening, there being 169 shares represented. The meeting was held at Maccabee hall, where the college is to be located.

J.E. Cristy was chosen chairman and L.F. Shoemaker secretary. Mr. Shoemaker read the articles of incorporation and the charter issued by the secretary of state. The capital stock of the corporation is $2,500, divided into 35 shares.

The following directors were elected: C.M. Boyles, J.E. Cristy, John Gordon, N. Cohen, J.L. Sturtevant.

The directors held a meeting later in the evening and elected the following officers:

Pres. – C.M. Boyles

Sec. – Roy Boyles

Treas. – L.F. Shoemaker

The work of fitting up the rooms will commence this week, and the fall term will commence on September 2.
