THE REPUBLICAN April 30, 1886 Telephone Notice Parties in Waupaca who desire their business places or residences connected with the system of the state, should notify the undersigned at earliest time convenient that the work may be done while the men are in the place. Business rate $4.00 per month. Residence rate $3.00. Where a party takes instruments in business place and residence, a rate of $2.50 per month will be made for the residence. These rates cover lines one mile or less. Address applications to the undersigned at Ripon, Wis. who will call personally and secure leases for all who so apply. Respectfully, T. D. Stone. ********** In regard to telephone extension and connections westward the Stevens Point Gazette says: The telephone connection of Stevens Point with the balance of the state, south and east, is now assured. T. D. Stone, the gentleman who has the matter in charge, spent Monday in the city and yesterday morning started for Grand Rapids. At that time nearly enough subscribers had been secured and the balance of the stock required had been pledged, so there is no doubt but that we can speak to the citizens of Milwaukee, Oshkosh, Green Bay, Waupaca, etc. ere long. Jut how soon the work of putting up the poles and stretching the wire from Waupaca to this city will be commenced, could not be determined when Mr. Stone left. However, there will be as little delay as possible. He left well pleased with our city, and the treatment shown him while here. |
