A NEW FIRM AT AN OLD STAND

Hardware Store of F.L. Parish Taken Over by

Christenson and Nelson Who Will Continue the Business

The deal between F.L. Parish and C.L. Christenson and Theodore Nelson for the purchase by the latter of the hardware stock of the former, which had been pending for some time, was finally consummated last week Wednesday; too late for notice in our issue of last week.  The remainder of the week and Monday and Tuesday of this week, were given over to taking inventory; the place was opened for business yesterday with both men on the job.

Mr. Christenson, senior member of the firm, came to Waupaca about three years ago from Poy Sippi where he had been in the general mercantile business.  He located on the Garden farm immediately across Dunbar bridge, on Berlin Road; here he conducted a market garden with marked success.  He has been closely identified with the multitudinous interests of this city.  Mr. Nelson needs no introduction to the people of Waupaca with a backing of twelve years of experience in the hardware business, with a host of acquaintances and friends he starts into the business with a decided advantage.

As soon as the details of his business can be wound up, Mr. Parish, who has been in the one stand for nearly a score of years, will go south, presumably to Florida, to spend the winter.  Mrs. Parish will accompany him.  His subsequent plans are still unformulated.
