REPUBLICAN POST

April 6, 1916

The friends of A.J. Holly tell how they came to his rescue Tuesday evening and assisted him in extinguishing an embryo fire which started in his overcoat pocket.

His friends are also more inclined to suggest some of the many ways in which the fire might have originated than is this venerable and staid citizen of Waupaca.  The extent of damage consisted in a loss of a goodly portion of one side of the coat which was hung in an inconspicuous place and furnished considerable quantity of smoke which the other members of the company do not feel called upon to pay for.
