WAUPACA GENERAL HOSPITAL

When Fully Equipped Will Accommodate About Forty Patients

Mr. P.C. Fredrickson who purchased the Tremont Hotel on West Fulton street this city and proceed-ed to remodel and equip the building for a hospital has gone about the enterprise so quietly and business-like that many who pass the place every day have scarcely noticed what was going on till now, when it is nearly completed and is prepared to accommodate the physicians who have patients that require treatment or operations at a hospital.

The hospital has rooms sufficient for forty patients besides the auxiliary accommodations for pre-paring meals for the patients and a sanitary operating room, parlors and waiting rooms, etc.

Mr. Fredrickson has had an up-to-date steam heating plant installed with Superior boilers that is one of the finest to be found and of which the owner is justly proud.  Mr. Hans Petersen, son of P.C.A. Petersen has installed the heating system on a contract amounting to over $900 and has also done the plumbing which will figure up to about half as much more.

It is the plan of the local physicians to recommend their patients to go to the Waupaca General Hospital instead of going to a hospital in some other city.  It is gratifying to note how heartily Waupaca physicians and surgeons have united in an effort to make this Waupaca institution a success in the fullest degree.  It is to be hoped that Waupaca people will embrace every opportunity to boom this Waupaca institution which should mean so much to those who need treatment at hospital.  It is also a general benefit to a city of the size of Waupaca to have an institute of this kind.
