REPUBLICAN POST December 28, 1916 ASK FOR A BACHELOR Waupaca Young Ladies Must Propose Soon to Take Advantage of Leap Year Speak within three days or for three years lose your opportunity of choosing a husband! Leap year ends at twelve o’clock Sunday evening and unless you receive a promise of acceptance from the high and flighty male before that time you must submit to being the “chosen” rather than the “chooser” at least for a period of three years, or until the beginning of January, 1920.
