MRS. OLIVE LOOKER

 

 

            Mrs. Olive Looker, widow of the late Henry E. Looker, died on Saturday, Feb. 24, at her home in the town of Lind, after an illness of four weeks.

            Sarah Olive Wells was born April 9th, 1827, at Hadley, Saratoga county, N.Y., and came to Wisconsin with her parents in 1856 and settled in Waupaca county, where she has resided ever since.

            She was married to Henry E. Looker March 11, 1867 and moved with him to his farm in Lind, which has been her home till the time of her death.

            At the age of seventeen she united with the Wesleyan Methodist church and lived a consistent Christian life.  She is survived by a son, Garardus Looker, of Minnesota and two daughters, Mrs. James Thompson and Ida Freeman of Lind.

            The funeral was held from the home on Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Shanks officiating.

            The family desire to thank the many friends who assisted during the illness and after the death of the aged mother.  The family have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
