WAUPACA
RECORD LEADER July
29, 1915 DR.
MORTENSON SELLS PRACTICE On Tuesday Dr. O.N. Mortenson, with
office in the Old National Bank block, sold his practice and equipment to Dr.
Fremont E. Chandler of Chicago. As soon
as both men can adjust their business affairs, the one in Chicago and the other
in this city, Dr. Mortenson will vacate and Dr. Chandler will assume charge of
hte work; this undoubtedly will be within a couple of weeks. Dr. Mortenson, who is an alumnus of
the Waupaca high school and of hte College of Physicians and Curgeons of
Chicago, with special training in one of the larger hospitals of Chicago, has
enjoyed an exceptionally wide practice wince locating, professionally in this
city about four and one-half years ago; he has made good especially in
surgery. As soon as he can get saway he
will go to Chicago for a few weeks’ work in clinics and lectures, especially
devoted to surgery to which line of medicine he will give much of his
attention. His plans subsequent to this
are still unformulated. We are all
loath to lose him from this community. Dr. Chandler needs no introduction
to the people of this community who were residents here twenty or more years
ago and to many of us who came here later he is also facorably known. He, too, is an lumnus of the local high
school, of a reputable medical school and has been closely associated with Dr.
A.J. Oxner of Augustana Hospital of Chicago, one of the greatest authorities on
surgery in this county. We
are pleased to welcome Dr. Chandler and bespeak for him great success in this
field. He has purchased Dr. Mortenson’s
residence at 501 S. Division St., where he will make his home. |
