RECORD-LEADER WILL HAVE MODERN NEW HOME

Deal Closed Thursday of Last Week -

Company has Occupied Building Since Organization -

New Improvements Will Include New Front and Basement, etc.

The building now occupied by the Record-Leader at 217 South Main Street was sold on Thursday last to John Hebblewhite of this city.  The property was owned by Tom Pipe.  The consideration has not been announced.

Mr. Hebblewhite announced that he will start as soon as possible and remodel the building throughout making it modern in every respect.  A basement will be dug and a heating plant installed, water and sewer will be connected and a new plate glass front, probably with a corner entrance will be erected.  A new floor and fixtures of all kinds will also add to the building.  When completed the office will, without a doubt, be the finest equipped in the county.

The Waupaca Leader and the Waupaca Record consolidated in 1912 and since that time the paper has continued to grow and gain in favor, and today we believe the Record-Leader to be second to none in the county.  A new linotype machine was installed some time ago, this being the very finest on the market, and other new equipment also, until today the plant stands for the best in everything.
