AMOS RICE DIES LEAVING MANY FRIENDS

The death of Amos Rice occurred last week, the funeral service Friday, being attended by many sorrowing friends and relatives who grieve deeply at their loss.

Mr. Rice was born on Sept. 22, 1859, in this state where he spent the greater part of his life. In 1885 he married Miss Mary Bradway, and one daughter was born to bless the union.  Those left to mourn, are the widow, the daughter, Mrs. H. Brooks of Omro, an aged father and mother, and five sisters, Mrs. Carrie Suib of Waupaca, Mrs. Alice Merwin of Tracy, Minn., Mrs. Elizabeth Schnare of Montreal, Mrs. Ino Ingham of Washington D.C., and Mrs. Myrtle French of Peterboro, and a two year old grandson.

The deceased was a member of the Modern Woodmen for more than twenty years.  His life was an example of nobleness and kindness, and he was always considerate of others doing something to lighten their burdens; although for many years he was a great sufferer.

His last illness was of short duration for after a few days of unusual suffering, he was called away to a better world.
