WAUPACA
COUNTY POST December
29, 1927 DEATH
OF MRS. GEORGE RUDER Resided
in Waupaca and Wisconsin Veterans Home Since 1894 -
Most Amiable Woman Mrs. George Ruder passed away on
Wednesday at 10:30 o’clock after an illness of several years. Katherine Elizabeth Chauteiou was
born November 19, 1856, on Lolland Denmark.
On July 19, 1882, she was united in marriage to George Ruder. The couple came to Chicago in 1893,
and to Waupaca in 1894, where they made their home until twelve years ago, when
Mr. Ruder accepted the position of farmer at Wisconsin Veterans’ Home, where
the family have resided during that time. The children of this union all
preceded the mother in death. One
daughter, the late Mrs. W.P. Mortensen, grew to womanhood and was known to a
wide circle of friends in Waupaca before her untimely death. Being of delicate health for many
years and having been afflicted with gallstones for several years, she
manifested a true Christian faith which sustained her when under most trying
physical pain and mental anguish. She
was a most model Christian woman and her loss will be keenly felt by all who
knew her and especially by her bereaved husband. The funeral will be held Saturday at
two o’clock p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran church of which deceased has been a
most faithful member these many years.
Rev. J.P. Naarup will officiate and interment will be in Lakeside
cemetery. |
