RUSSELL. At the ripe age of ninety-six years,
one month and three days, Mrs. Jane Russell died at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Robt. Hales, three miles north of this city Friday, Jan. 28. Deceased was born in county of
Downe, Ireland, Dec. 25, 1813, and came to Waupaca in 1872, a son and daughter
having come at an earlier date. Mrs. Russell had been a widow for
forty-seven years. She is survived by
four children, Robert Russell of South Dakota, J.H. Russell of St. Louis, Mrs.
R. Hales of Waupaca and Mrs. Alice Bemis, who removed from this city to Montana
last September. The funeral was attended by a large number of friends and neighbors, Rev. A.T. Erickson of the First Baptist church officiating. J.H. Russell came from St. Louis to attend the last rites. |
