Last Sunday evening the large chandelier hanging from the ceiling in the center of the brick Scandinavian church, fell to the floor, but strange as it may seem did not explode.  A lady was sitting in a pew directly under the chandelier, but had just arisen to speak to someone when it fell and struck where she had been sitting. It was a miraculous escape.  Two of the lamps and gloves were broken but no other damage was done; the oil not even catching fire.
