WAUPACA POST

February 2, 1888

Last Monday morning Dr. Woodward amputated a leg for Wm. Sheppard, of Belmont, Wis.  The patient had been suffering for the past thirty years from a fever sore and has tried all known methods to obtain relief, without avail, and last Sunday was brought to Dr. Woodward’s surgical rooms at Mrs. West’s residence and prepared for the operation which was made antiseptically.  The patient is doing splendidly and will probably be about again in a few weeks.
