Solverud was born June 16, 1878 and married to Miss Ida Gullickson of New Hope, Nov. 24, 1904, died May 7, 1915 at his home in this city on Franklin Street, after a long and sever illness.  He leaves to mourn his wife, one son, Norman, about ten years of age, his parents, four sisters, Mrs. S.C. Swendson, of Amherst; Mrs. F.B. Warren and Mrs. J.C. Swendson of Iola and Mrs. L.D. Naarup officiating, and the body was then taken to Amherst where services were conducted by Rev. Naarup assisted by Rev. Magelson. The many floral offerings told of the high esteem and favor in which the deceased was held and although not having been a resident of this city for very long he has made many warm friends among his associates and his fellow workmen.  The business places of A.R. Lea and Cohen Bros., were closed during the funeral and the forces attended the services in a body.
