REPUBLICAN POST October
21, 1909 MARRIED
AT HIGH NOON TODAY Popular
Couple of This City Plight Faith In Presence of Friends At high noon today in the presence
of relatives and immediate friends at the fine residence of the bride’s
parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Nelson, occurred the marriage of their accomplished
daughter, Amanda E. Nelson, to Frank O. Stratton. The spacious parlors were tastily decorated with ferns and smilax
and a beautiful floral arch was formed under which the contracting parties
stood during the wedding ceremony. Miss
Jessie Hanson presided at the piano and executed the wedding march from
Lohengrin. Miss Emma Nelson, sister of
the bride, acted as bridesmaid, dressed in cream pongee and carried pink
roses. Will Breit acted as best man. The bride was dressed in white silk
and carried white roses. The ceremony was conducted by Rev.
C.H. Jensen with the ring service in his usual pleasing manner. After congratulations a beautiful
wedding dinner was served. The couple left on the 3:40 train
for a short honeymoon trip after which they will be at home at the residence of
the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Nelson, N. State Street. The Republican-Post joins in wishing
them much joy. |
