WAUPACA REPUBLICAN November 6, 1903 WAGNER-CORNELL A very pretty wedding occurred on Saturday evening when Mr. Willard Edward Wagner and Miss Meta Blanche Cornell were united in the holy bonds of matrimony, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Wagner by Rev. F. Arthur Hayward of the First Baptist Church. At exactly eight o’clock the happy couple accompanied by Miss Minnie Wagner as bridesmaid and Mr. Ray Seeber as best man preceded by the minister took their places under the wedding bower, while Mrs. Herbert Wagner played the wedding march. The bride was gowned in Swiss mull trimmed with Irish Point lace and white satin ribbon. The bridesmaid wore India linen. About sixty friends witnessed the ceremony. A very dainty wedding supper was then served by Miss Clara Utley and Jessie Gurley. The home was beautifully decorated with pine boughs, autumn leaves, choice plants, smilax and cut flowers. The wedding canopy was a prettily contrived affair of pine boughs and autumn leaves relieved by cut flowers. The wedding presents were many and useful, being dishes, silverware, lamps and several large pieces of furniture. Mr. and Mrs. Wagner had many friends from Dayton and Rural in attendance to wish them success. Among them were, Mr. and Mrs. Gurley, Mr. Earl Gurley, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest, Mr. and Mrs. Gruner, Mrs. Viola Radley and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. McGill, Mr. and Mrs. Baker, Mr. Irving Newsum, and Misses Carrie Cornell, Jessie Gurley and Clara Utley. |
