AND FREMONT BUILD ROADS Farmers
and Village People Unite In
Improving the Fremont Road Across the Bottom Lands Last Friday was a big road day for
Weyauwega and the farmers on the road to Fremont. Fifty-nine teams were on hand ready for work, while 60 men from
Weyauwega and 12 from Fremont were there with their shovels. The work was done upon the piece of
road this side of Fremont where it crosses the river bottoms. Two hundred and seventy-five loads of
excellent road material was put in place and did much to improve this stretch of
road which was by far the worst piece between here and Oshkosh. Last season the Weyauwega bunch made
themselves famous and the present indications are that they are going to live
up to their reputation during the present season. |
