OSHKOSH NORTHWESTERN

November 2, 1871

 

 

            The board of directors of the Wolf River Transportation Company held an adjourned meeting in this city today, Captain John Lynch, president, in the chair.  It was resolved to proceed immediately to fit out the boats of the company for the opening of navigation and the superintendent was directed to engaged officers and men at once.  All the directors were present.

 

 

On The River

 

            The steamers of the Wolf River Transportation Company during the coming season will be officered as follows: -

                        Northwestern

                                    Captain – John F. Anson

                                    Clerk – Wm. A. Sterling

                                    Engineer – Tom Albrighton

                                    Steward – H.F. Jackson

                        Tigress

                                    Captain – Tom Golden

                                    Clerk – H.S. Dixon

                                    Engineer – J.N.R. Torryson

                        Energy

                                    Captain – M. Golden

            The full appointments have not yet been made but the above have been determined on.
