VOTE $1000 TO CAMP SITE
Waupaca had a real municipal election on Tuesday. The total vote cast was 976, being brought out by the contest for city clerk, between F.A. Houseman and J.F. Knutsen, and the referendum on whether or not $1000 would be spent for improvements at the tourist camp site.
The election proved beyond a doubt that the people want F.A. Houseman for city clerk. He was elected by a vote of 673 to 282, giving him a majority of 391. The vote on city clerk by wards was as follows:
1st Ward - Houseman 192, Knutsen 68
2nd Ward - Houseman 179, Knutsen 67
3rd Ward - Houseman 108, Knutsen 98
4th Ward - Houseman 194, Knutsen 49
Waupaca this year will spend $1000 on improvements at the camp-site. The referendum on this question won out by 16 votes. The vote by wards was as follows:

Number of Women Voting at Tuesday’s Election Was 361
At the election held in this city on Tuesday a total of 976 votes were polled – 361 women and 615 men. The vote by wards was as follows:
