"THE GREAT WISCONSIN SWINDLE." – Under this caption the Eastern papers are treating their readers to the prominent details of the facts disclosed by the report of the Land Grant Investigating Committee. It must be confessed that the disclosures indicate a degree of public demoralization hardly conceivable. Our State has acquired an unenviable reputation in this respect; and the "itching palms" off her "scurvy politicians", are already a byword and reproach throughout the land.
