Granite Water Trough01

August 25, 1899
The new solid granite drinking trough for horses will soon be installed a the north east corner of the Court yard, the city having during the past two days laid a water pipe to connect it with the Main Street main. We hope it will be so arranged that water for thirsty people can also connect with it.
Later – Supt. Hansen had the water turned on this evening and we are glad to note that the trough has a drinking fountain attachment where all who love water can drink to their heart’s content.
