THE REPUBLICAN

WAUPACA

It is the boss shipping Point.

The center of a rich and fertile country, as the figures will show.

Station agent M. F. Skinner, kindly gives us for publication a correct report of the shipments from Waupaca, during October and November, and approximate figures on potatoes and miscellaneous articles for December.  We will however give the December shipments as soon as the schedule is made up at the freight office.  Mr. Skinner has had charge of this station for upwards of ten years.  The Central Company has no better man on the line.  He informs the REPUBLICAN that the business has been constantly increasing from year to year.  No better evidence of the claims of the country contiguous to Waupaca can be given than figures below.  Take for instance the one item of potato shipments for the three months, three million, three hundred and twenty thousand, five hundred pounds, at one cent per 16 brings back into Waupaca thirty three thousand, two hundred and five dollars.  Multiply what each article exported by what it is worth per pound and it shows conclusively why this is a prosperous section of country.  It is no wonder the mortgages are being paid off; at least they should be.  But here’s the figures:
